Not many teams with a 9-13 record could have taken on the number one team in Sectionals and only be down by one point at halftime. This year’s varsity team did just that. The number of wins does not reflect the ability of the hard-working members of the team. We were tenacious in each game and earned the respect of the rest of the teams in the county. Our reputation was one of a team who played tough defensive games and never gave up. No one can say that a game against Fairport is an easy one. We hope the drive and dedication of this year’s team will continue, and that next year’s team will have as much success as they do heart.
